Around 6:30 last night, Denver and I found ourselves quite bored. On a whim we decided to drive down to New York City for smores at Cosi on 76th and Broadway. It was so fun because it was so spur-of-the-moment, plus it has been months since either one of us has been to the city. The place was so adorable-- they brought out smores ingredients for two on a wooden tray with a little gel-fueled "stove" for marshmallow toasting. We even got some action photos:

When we got home Repete greeted us with purrs and little kisses but Pete was nowhere to be found. We were so tired we went to bed thinking nothing of it. When we got up this morning Repete was very talkative again, and Pete was still nowhere in sight. Denver went down to the basement and called for her, and he heard little muffled meows. Turns out he accidentally shut her in the shelving under our basement stairs when he changed the kitty litter last night-- before we went to the city! Poor little Pete was alone in the dark for about 15 hours. We are such bad "parents"!
