May ranks right up there as one of my favorite months of the year due to these intoxicating blossoms. The only bad thing about lilacs is that they have a half life of a chocolate chip cookie in my hands; wish they lasted much longer than the splendid two spring weeks in which they dot the landscape in the Hudson Valley.

Our lilacs are also lovely and abundant this year. I had 3 full vases in the kitchen and it smelled loverly this weekend. Wish they lasted longer........

Beautiful!! They are one of my favorite spring flowers too. They are not in bloom yet here so I have something to look forward to.

Beautiful detail ... I love the scent of lilacs! Wish they lasted longer, as well! I have to use lilac hand/body lotion the rest of the time to enjoy that year round scent! lol! :) Have a wonderful week!
