Visited good old Round Pond with friends and progeny this past weekend. Munched on lots of tasty grub, took in lots of fresh air, and relished in a slower-paced existence for a couple of days. Can I go back please?

Got this cute idea for jazzing up Finnian's summer wardrobe on Pinterest (specifically, here). Chose things he loves-- a yellow digger, an airplane, and a bus (the tie was for Denver's amusement). He loves pointing to the item and saying (err, shouting) what it is when you ask him to. So fun!
Snapped this photo of Finnian in front of a bunch of frolicking girls when grandma and grandpa came to visit. He seems left out of all of the fun!

We all had a great time seeing Grandma and Grandpa Dill this weekend! Since Saturday was a nice day, we went to one of our favorite nearby parks. This photo was snapped moments before we all got caught in a downpour:

Finnian pointed at everything and yelled out what it was, just in case any of us had any doubts about what we were looking at. "Digger!"

We really enjoyed having company. Hope grandma and grandpa visit again soon! :)
Raspberry-Mascarpone French Macarons. Used a simple and decadent filling from Tartelette, and the shell recipe that I spent many hours tweaking. Very splendid results.
Finnian even tried one:
But his palate needs refining. Denver swooped in and salvaged the broken pieces-- absolutely cannot let one of these babies go to waste! Finnian was much more interested in playing with it :)
