Decided to go for a modern "inverted bob" look. The stylist took a whole lot of length of the back, so it looks much better than it did before. It feels better, too!
I only hope that I can recreate the 'do tomorrow morning... that's always the hard part! :)
I had fish tacos for the first time about a month ago, and was inspired to make some at home. Used some cilantro from my herb garden, and substituted tilapia for the red snapper. YUM!
This recipe came from the Cooking Light website; I would highly recommend it (and the magazine) for delicious and healthy meals. I just got my latest issue in the mail yesterday, and there are lots of yummy walnut-related items that I am excited to try. Cooking Light is definitely my favorite recipe source as-of-late.
Other than work, not much is going on in our lives at the moment. We are enjoying the final weeks of summer, but ready for the crisp fall days ahead (and the wonderful food, too) :) We recently scored some tickets for a few operas at the Met in October and November, and our Vegas trip is in less than 4 months now: it can’t come quickly enough!!!
I finished my MBA studies right at the end of March, and received my diploma this week. Officially done!
It's been a busy week. I was at Dartmouth for a great conference for most of it, so now I am playing catch-up at work. Denver is off to a concert soon, but he'll be back before evening. My goal in that time is to find a nice blender so I can start making fruit smoothies. I have been changing my diet over the past several weeks, consciously making more healthful choices. I love strawberry-banana-orange juice smoothies. So healthy, and so good.
My plants are doing much better. When we went to Ohio/Michigan a couple of weeks ago, my sole tomato plant almost died since we had no rain. I have since nursed it back to health with daily waterings and Miracle Grow, and now it is thriving! However, it may be September before we get any tomatoes out of it at this rate. It hasn't even flowered yet, but should in the next couple of days. My tiny herb garden is also doing well-- I may utilize it for tomorrow's dinner :)
1. I have two days of work remaining until my vacation.Denver’s parents are coming for a couple of days starting this Wednesday, then my brother John is coming out on July 4.After that, Denver and I are driving to Michigan on the 8th to visit my sister- & brother-in-law, along with our niece and nephew (we haven’t met the little guy yet)!I am so excited because I feel like I really need a break.
3. I just booked our hotel reservation for our trip to Las Vegas in December: at the Monte Carlo. We stayed here last time we went and really liked the atmosphere, location on the strip, and casino.Only 5 and a half months!!!
